All the photos here are of abandoned factories, and the silence of these places reminds me of the silence of theaters after the last show finishes. And as in theaters, one imagines these places full of noise, bustling with voices, people and activity, that suddenly stop and are no longer. 

This project uses a high-contrast, dark and gritty black and white to convey the atmosphere of these abandoned places. 

Most of the images here were published in the 2023 book "Silent theaters" by Kehrer Verlag. The book is ideally the sequel of my book “All things devoured”, that won the Bronze in Book>Fine Art at the 2017 Moscow International Foto Awards. It draws from an extensive photo archive that I built over several years.
